Hey hey

So, if you know me know me, like really know me, you would know that i'm the biggest sucker for quotes and poem. All my notebooks and diaries and my room and my phone are full of them. I love quotes for the fact that such short and simple words could give such deep meaning and i love poems for the beauty, depth and complexity of the words used to tell a story. So, recently i discovered Maya Angelou and for the gazillion time, i'm in love with her quotes, poems etc. Absolutely divine. To remind myself again and again of this beauty and express how much i love it, it needs to be exposed in this blog lah for sure. Duhhhh.

We unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves it high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient history of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from timidity.
In the flush of love's light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free  

This is my ultimate favorite so far, from what i have discovered. It's simple yet complex and just full of meaning. The next one that i like super simple.

First best is falling in love
Second best is being in love
Least best is falling out of love
But any of it is better
than never having been in love

How ? how does she come up with all these ideas. It's so beautiful. I love it. and i feel super weird sharing this here, but it's worth sharing.

P/S it's just another phase, trust me. It'll pass.
